At our 2010 General Assembly in Kingston, Jamaica, WorldSkills International enthusiastically welcomed the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security of the People's Republic of China as our 53rd Member.

In so doing, we welcomed approximately 19.5% of the World’s population to the WorldSkills movement.

China was represented at the General Assembly by a strong six-member delegation which included their new Official Delegate - Mr Dai Xiaochu, and Technical Delegate – Mr Song Jian.

Mr Dai presented to the General Assembly an informative overview of China’s educational system and administrative framework for skill competitions.

We look forward to welcoming Team China to their first WorldSkills Competition – WorldSkills London 2011.
