The WorldSkills Champions Trust - shaping the future starting today

In addition to their participation in the WorldSkills Leaders Forum, members of the WorldSkills Champions Trust were active throughout the Competition, in their roles as advocates for the WorldSkills movement and as compelling promoters of active involvement with WorldSkills and WorldSkills Foundation projects, initiatives, and activities. In line with term limitations for members of the Champions Trust, it was time for three of the Champions to step down. With warm thanks and formal appreciation and recognition for their contributions to the formative year of the WorldSkills Champions Trust, Katie Wright (UK), Lucq Post (NL), and Sufyan Zainalabidin (SG) stepped down from their formal roles. Of course, the hope is that these leaders will continue to raise awareness of the power each of us has to improve our world with the power of skills. Continuing as members of the Trust are Ricardo Vivian (BR), Abdulla Shehhi (AE), and Victor Simon (FR).

A call for new members to join the WorldSkills Champions Trust will go out in the coming weeks - with the goal of adding six new Champions, with representation to include two Champions from Europe, one from the Americas, one from Africa, one from Southeast Asia and Oceania, and one from Asia.
