Virtual Ceremony celebrates CNC Milling results from WorldSkills São Paulo 2015

Taking best advantage of the power of technology to extend the celebration of excellence demonstrated at WorldSkills São Paulo 2015, today WorldSkills announced final results of the CNC Milling competition in a virtual awards ceremony broadcast around the world. At 14:00 GMT, 26 August, Experts, Competitors, and interested stakeholders tuned in to watch the broadcast, which included a video with highlights of the Closing Ceremony of WorldSkills São Paulo 2015 and the real-time announcement of Bronze and joint Gold medal winners in this Skill. No Silver was awarded for this Skill.

Medallists in CNC Milling are:

  • Gold: Hee Dong Lee, Korea
  • Gold: Zhikun Zhang, China
  • Bronze: YU-YU LAI, Chinese Taipei

Unfortunately, the marking could not be completed at the Competition, and so all work pieces were shipped to a metrology laboratory to complete the measurement work. Competitors, Experts, and supporters of CNC Milling have been patient throughout resolution of this situation. Thank you, and congratulations to you all!
