Three Member countries of WorldSkills bid to host General Assembly 2018

Colombia (Cartegena), Ireland (Dublin), and the Netherlands (Amsterdam) are all bidding to host WorldSkills General Assembly 2018.  The decision on which Member will host the event will be made at the next General Assembly in Niagara Falls, Canada in early October 2016.

All three Members have prepared excellent proposals that would further both their national organizations and the global development of the WorldSkills movement.

Delegates representing the 75 Member countries and regions will vote on the location of General Assembly 2018 on Monday, 3 October 2016. Details of the successful bid will be posted on the WorldSkills website after the vote. Watch for live updates starting at 11:30 EST on the WorldSkills Facebook page.

The General Assembly is the highest authority of WorldSkills, the organization that promotes vocational skills excellence globally.  The General Assembly 2018 will include meetings of WorldSkills Strategy and Competitions Committees, WorldSkills Champions Forum, and a one-day conference, the WorldSkills Leaders Forum.
