We are pleased to report that the One School One Country initiative, in which primary schools based in London, will host a special welcome reception for WorldSkills International Members, has now gone live. Member countries/regions have been informed of which school they will be visiting in October and we are aware from Head teachers that communication has already begun in earnest.

In June we held our One School One Country planning day; an opportunity for teachers and education professionals from the participating schools, to meet and make preparations for the welcome reception. In addition, time was made available to discuss the learning opportunities that One School One Country presents to students and in this respect, specially prepared teaching resources will be available to the teachers involved in the initiative from September 2011.

We hope that preparations for your visit to London are going well and that you are beginning to communicate with your school. Team Leaders and Official Delegates will have by now received the WorldSkills London 2011 One School One Country guide which provides details of your impending visit. However, if you require any further information or assistance please email the Head of Education at WorldSkills London 2011, Chidi Okolo at cokolo@worldskillslondon2011.com
