Legendary Race Car Driver Vladimir Chagin becomes WorldSkills Kazan 2019 Ambassador

WorldSkills Kazan 2019 announced that recognized racing driver, Vladimir Chagin, will be named a WorldSkills Kazan 2019 Ambassador.

The announcement was made at the Red Square, in Moscow during a festive opening ceremony of the Silk Way Rally 2017, in the presence of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mrs Olga Golodets.

Vladimir Chagin, a legendary athlete and renowned racer, is the seven-fold winner of the Dakar Rally in the truck class, the pilot of "KAMAZ-Master" team. Since 2013 he has been the head of the racing team "KAMAZ-master" and since 2015, the project leader of the International Silk Way Rally.

WorldSkills Kazan 2019, is the first time WorldSkills will be hosted in Russia. In August, 2019 over 1,300 Competitors from more than 60 countries, will attend the Competition at the International Exhibition Center Kazan Expo.
