  1. Hong Kong Junior Skills Competition 2024

    Riding on the success of the Hong Kong Junior Skills Competition (HKJSC) in 2022, the second HKJSC will be organised in 2024. Seven skills competitions will be offered including :

    - 3D Digital Game Art
    - Fashion Technology
    - Hairdressing
    - Mechatronics
    - Pâtisserie and Confectionery
    - Visual Merchandising
    - Wall and Floor Tiling

    All local secondary schools are invited to nominate their students to participate in the skills competitions to stretch their potentials to the full. Participating students will be provided a series of briefing and training which will equip them with the relevant knowledge and skills to better prepare themselves for the competition and develop their interests from there.

  2. The Danish National Skills Competition 2024

    The Danish National Skills Competition is the largest single competition, education and training event in Denmark, and we expect around 50.000 visitors. 300 young finalists will compete in 47 different competitions and after 3 exciting competitions days 47 new Danish champions will be celebrated. In addition, thousands of secondary school students will visit and discover which professions they like which helps them choose their future study. The main objective of the event is to improve the quality and attractiveness of vocational education and training. The Danish National Skills Competition includes 47 different Competition Skills and 34 Skills as showcasing.

  3. EmiratesSkills National Competition 2024

    The National Competition is the UAE premier event that celebrates the outstanding Emirati talents in technical and vocational skills inspiring the young generation to get passionate about new trades and embrace technology based career pathways. Annually the Competition attracts UAE Nationals, both young men and women, to compete in the field of craftsmanship and technology and be evaluated by a technical committee and internationally accredited experts based on the standards and judging criteria of WorldSkills organization.

  4. Swedish National Skills Competition (Yrkes-SM)

    The Swedish National Skills Competition are the largest investment in increasing interest and recruitment to vocational education in Sweden. Through a large and content-rich competition and event every second year, hundreds of Sweden's most professional young people compete and measure their strengths against each other in over 60 professions. This is also a big platform to select the competitors for Swedish national team, to compete in WorldSkills Competition and EuroSkills.

  5. Jobs Tournament Final (Yrkeskampen)

    The Jobs Tournament (Yrkeskampen) is a contest for year 8 classes aimed at highlighting vocational training courses and inspiring students to begin thinking about future training and job opportunities. The tournament focuses on vocational matters and physical hands-on assignments based on upper secondary vocational training courses offered in Sweden. On this date the national finals take place and the classes with the best results in the country compete against each other.

    In May 2024, 8th National Young Professionals Competition SkillsLatvia 2024 will gather around 120 competitors, who will showcase their talents and skills in 20 different skills competitions. During two days competitors will show their skills by performing tasks created by industry experts whilst visitors will also have a chance to participate in different activities, such as “Try a skill” and others.

  2. 1st IRAN International Friendly Skills Competition (IFSC 2024)

    Technical and Vocational Training Organization of Iran, also known as WorldSkills Iran, will hold the first Iran International Friendly Skills Competitions from 10-16 May 2024. The IFSC 2024 will be held in beautiful and green city of Gorgan located in north eastern Iran. in this competition, competitors from eight countries will participate in a seven-days great event and prepare themselves for WorldSkills Leon 2024. They will compete in six skills including Mobile Application Development, Web Technologies, IT Network System Administration, IT Software Solution for Business, Mechanical Engineering CAD and Graphic Design Technology. On the sidelines of the event, the teams will have an excellent opportunity to share their expertise and learn about the capacities for cooperation in skills training.

  3. WorldSkills Croatia National Competition 2024

    National Competition of Vocational School Students – WorldSkills Croatia is the biggest event in Croatia in area of education and training and biggest skills competition in Southeast Europe. It will be held for the fifth time from 13th to 15th May 2024.
    The goal of this competition is promotion of vocational education and training, as well as it's innovation and excellence. Competition puts emphasis on the importance of vocational skills, the connection of education system with labor market and also with higher education. Event will be open for public – visitors from Croatia as well as international guests and visitors. Competition attracts students from primary schools, parents, teachers and media, on this way it strengthens the image, visibility and attractiveness of vocational education.

  4. WorldSkills Estonia Skills festival "Noor meister" (Young Master)

    The skills festival brings together vocational schools and young people. Twenty skills competitions, workshops, and activities will be held. During this event, you'll meet the top students and vocational school representatives. Companies, schools and other organisations are present.

  5. Taitaja2024 Kuopio - Finnish National Skills Competition

    Almost 50 skills, over 400 competitors and tens of thousands of visitors together create Taitaja, the biggest educational event in Finland. In 2024, the event is organised by Savo Vocational College together with Skills Finland and their partners. Taitaja aims to promote vocational education, improve connections between vocational schools and companies, and increase the awareness of vocational education and professional skills. The event is free of charge and open for public.

  6. 2024 Global Skills Challenge

    The 2024 Global Skills Challenge is a simulated international competition, an important part of the Australian Skillaroos training in the lead up to the international competition. This event is a four-day run through of the proposed International Competition by the Skillaroos to competition conditions, including assessment using the International marking scale typically held 3-4 months prior to the International Competition using test projects if released, or past projects in 32 Skills. The competitions will be hosted by 4-5 Training Facilities in Melbourne, Victoria.
    To increase competition and benchmark skills – other member countries are invited to participate (at their own cost) – WorldSkills Australia is anticipating 500 competitors, experts, translators and officials will attend from WorldSkills Member Nations including the Australian Team.

    WorldSkills Lyon 2024 is set to take place 10-15 September 2024, following the postponement of the 46th WorldSkills Competition in Shanghai, China by one year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. France won the bid to host the 47th WorldSkills Competition at WorldSkills General Assembly 2019 in Kazan, Russia.
    It is the second time for France and Lyon to be the host in the history of the international championship. The 33rd WorldSkills Competition previously took place in 1995 at EUREXPO Lyon, the same venue that will now host WorldSkills Lyon 2024.
    WorldSkills Competition Lyon 2024 is a strong commitment to youth and their future which generates unprecedented international mobilization around skills, competences and excellence.
    Despite the one-year postponement of the competition due to the pandemic, the plan to host the global competition remains the same: to inspire young people in skills, promote skills and change the perception on vocational education and training.
    WorldSkills Lyon 2024 is also a national project centered around the regions, in particular the Metropolis of Lyon. It will be THE springboard and catalyst to develop and promote professional training adapted to current and future needs in terms of employment.
    The competition and Team WorldSkills France, which both are a result of the mobilization of regions and the commitment of partners to WorldSkills France, are the first vectors of inspiration for young people and a tangible proof for the next generations of the relevance of skills and competences in a career and personal life with high potential.

  1. 46th National Skills Competition – SkillsPortugal Norte 2024

    From the 12th to the 16th November 2024, Portugal will held the 46th edition of Portugal's National Skills Competition, SkillsPortugal Norte 2024. These Skills Competitions are held every 2 years, rotating between the various regions of the country.
    In 2024, Santa Maria da Feira, in the North region, will host the event. The 46th National Skills Competition takes place under the theme: “Where there´s a skill, you find your North”, with around 600 highly qualified young people who will compete with each other in 64 skills.
    SkillsPortugal Norte 2024 aims to raise awareness of young people, families, companies and other employers, and citizens in general, to the importance of excellent professional qualification as a highly promoter of employability and as a driving force for productivity and economic growth.
    The young medalists at this national stage will be able to represent Portugal in the 9th edition of EuroSkills, in September 2025, in Herning, Denmark and in the 48th edition of the WorldSkills, in Shanghai, China, in September 2026.

    EuroSkills Herning 2025 is the ninth edition of the biennial EuroSkills Competition – the biggest vocational education and skills excellence event in Europe.

    EuroSkills Herning 2025 is scheduled to take place from 8 to 14 September 2025 at MCH Messecenter Herning, Denmark. The event will welcome more than 700 skilled young professionals under the age of 25 from 32 countries to participate in competitions and demonstrations in 40 different skills and trades. Around 100,000 visitors from across Denmark and abroad are expected to attend.

    EuroSkills Herning 2025 is organized in partnership by Denmark’s Ministry of Children and Education, Herning Municipality, the Central Jutland Region, the Danish Employers' Association, the Trade Union Movement's Main Organization, WorldSkills Denmark, and WorldSkills Europe.

    AustrianSkills are the Austrian State Championships of Professions where almost 50 competitors qualify for EuroSkills and WorldSkills. The competitions are open to all young professionals of dual education as well as vocational schools. The event is organized by SkillsAustria in cooperation with the professional organizations of each trade, vocational schools and more than 250 partners. During three days around 500 young professionals will show their skills and visitors will get their chance to participate in several “try-a-skill” areas. The nationals are open for public.
