Large Crowds at 3D Event Skills Masters
From Fashion to Nursing and from Technical Installations to Restaurant Service – more than 75 vocations were in the spotlight from March 4 - 6 during Skills Masters in Ahoy Rotterdam, the Netherlands. The skills event for VET students, young skilled professionals and job-seekers drew 25,838 visitors.

Skills Masters promotes the development of talent. This has resulted in many new national skills champions and hundreds of matches in the labour market. The seventh edition of Skills Masters will take place on March 3–5, 2011.

Skills Masters runs a very successful Try-a-skill program. Visitors can try, watch and experience what it’s like to work in a specific sector. According to Jos de Goey, Skills Masters representative, young people do not plan their career based on a flyer or ad. "Experiencing a job is crucial. Young people need a realistic vision of the possibilities to be able to make the right choice. Sector organisations and companies realise this and are more than willing to present themselves at Skills Masters," says Jos de Goey.
