Competitors will be competing in 45 skill areas ranging from aircraft maintenance to web design. Set up for the event began last week and will take nine days to complete. This massive undertaking involves several crews and experts who have been working diligently to ensure the competition site and each skill area are ready for first day of competition. One crew member noted this was the “hardest job” he’s ever been involved with from a set up perspective. Throughout the four days of competition, over 150,000 people are
expected to visit the Competition. Visitors will not only have the
opportunity to view Competitors in action, but also try their hand at a
variety of skills in the “Have a Go” activity area. Opening Ceremonies
for the event will take place on Tuesday evening at The O2, with the
Competition open to the general public on Wednesday.
