wsc2015_igr_simon_bartley.jpgWorldSkills President, Simon Bartley went to São Paulo and Brasilia recently to promote the 43rd WorldSkills Competition coming to São Paulo in August 2015. An important part of his visit was to meet with several political, educational and industry leaders throughout the country to raise the awareness of what WorldSkills does and the benefits of hosting a WorldSkills Competition for a country.

In Brasilia, Simon met with the Chairman of the Education Committee of the Senate, Cyro Miranda (photo). He also had the opportunity to address the Education Committee in the House of Representatives.

As part of the visits, Simon met with Rafael Lucchesi, General Director of SENAI and the Executive Committee and Coordinators of WorldSkills São Paulo 2015 to discuss the overall plans for the event. After those important strategic meetings, he met with Robson Braga de Andrade, President of CNI, about how CNI is trying to develop a program for Simon to meet with Governors of the States of Brazil.

Media were very interested in Simon's visit to Brazil and several media outlets covered it.
