|Reasons to adopt the WorldSkills brand|
Since 2000, the WorldSkills brand has grown steadily and now has a powerful and consistent image in the international skills-related market place. The various WorldSkills events, activities and Member organizations have been provided with a common identity framework.
As the WorldSkills brand has continued to expand in strength and recognition, a growing number of Members have adopted the WorldSkills branding. Changing their branding in this way means these Members now benefit from being part of this global common identity.
1. Be part of an International brand
Adopting the WorldSkills branding enables Members to align an international brand which is synonymous with skills excellence.
2. Clarifies stakeholders understanding of skills competitions
Common branding helps to explain the competition journey by providing a clear route from a national/regional competition to a WorldSkills Competition.
By being part of the WorldSkills global brand, the opportunity exists for national and regional competitions and their existing and potential stakeholders to leverage existing relationships in WorldSkills International and WorldSkills International’s regions.
4. Established brand awareness
The WorldSkills brand is recognized by WSI's Member countries/regions, including their media, their vocational educational establishment and the young people taking part in WorldSkills Competitions. By adopting the WorldSkills brand, Members can enjoy global brand recognition and contribute to the wider exposure and appreciation of the brand.
5. Ongoing support
WorldSkills International helps Members maximize the benefits of being associated with the brand and will provide resources for Members to use.
There are options to retain some of a Member’s own identity that is unique to their market whilst adopting the WorldSkills brand.
WorldSkills International will provide Members with fully developed logos and visual identity guidelines free of charge which can be shared with partners, sponsors and supporters.
There is increased opportunity to attract more people to Members’ regional and national competitions if they easily understand the link to the global competition and the potential to reach a WorldSkills Competition.
Adopting the WorldSkills brand will contribute to an increase in Members sponsorship potential by being linked to a global brand associated with a prestigious, high profile global Competition. There is also the potential to offer a broader package to regional/national sponsors.
The WorldSkills Competition is recognized as the biggest vocational skills event in the world. Sharing this corporate identity gives credibility to competitions held by Member countries/regions.
